THE DAMSELS
DAMSELS UN-DISTRESSED AND THE PROHIBTION JAZZ BAND:
“Anna B & Miss Noelle belt out saucy 1930’s swing songs with panache-plus. And I do mean belted, plus enough shimmying and shaking for ringsiders to need the loan of Miss Noelle’s fan. Catch ‘em, while they’re hot.”
- Malcolm Perry

Damsels Un-Distressed & The Prohibition Jazz Band promise to knock you right out of your seat and onto the dance floor with the vintage sounds of the speakeasy! This swingin’, seven piece old time review is pure energy…definitely hot and just a little bit naughty.
Fronting this retro act you will find The Damsels themselves, Anna B. and Miss Noelle – two harmonizing sirens with enough power to light Vancouver – backed by an electrifying band of bad boys. This is not just another jazz outfit…this band goes all the way, digging up forgotten treasures from the vaults of the Prohibition era, right on through to the classic underground favorites of Harlem. This is a show!
Damsels Un-Distressed & The Prohibition Jazz Band has played extensively throughout Vancouver and is set to release their debut album “The Stuff is Here”.
